of a future harvest through dentistry.

Dr. William R. "Billy" Capps and V. Elizabeth "Betty" Crawford Capps were missionaries to the Lenca from 1997 to 2006.

The Cappses lived in Honduras where missionaries focus their work on human needs projects. Dr. Capps used dentistry as a ministry in starting and developing churches. Mrs. Capps was involved in a variety of outreach ministries.

Born in Prescott, Dr. Capps is the son of Austin and the late Mary Lou Capps of Gurdon, Arkansas. He grew up in Gurdon, lived in Hope, Arkansas, for 25 years and then Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Dr. Capps wife, Betty, is the daughter of Frances Crawford of Hot Springs and the late Riley Crawford. The Cappses both credit First Baptist Church in Hope as being influential in their Christian growth.

Dr. Capps attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. They both attended the International Mission Boards training Center in Rockville, Virginia.

He practiced dentistry in Hope from 1971 until 1996. The Cappses are members of The First Baptist Church of Hot Springs in Hot Springs.

They now live in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where they enjoy three grown children and seven grandchildren. They still support Lenca missions stateside.
